About Yorkshire Retired Greyhounds
Based in Yorkshire and rehoming across the whole of the UK, we dedicate our lives to helping retired racers make a smooth, loving transition from the track to the sofa.
Over 20 years of breed devotion
With more than 20 years of dedicated experience working with greyhounds, we understand their wants, needs, and gentle nature inside and out. Having enjoyed fulfilling racing careers, these noble athletes are ready to begin their second chapter as cherished companions.
Understanding the gentle giant
Contrary to popular belief, greyhounds are affectionate 40mph couch potatoes. Every dog arrives with their own unique personality and quirks. We spend quality time with each hound to ensure we match them with the right home, guiding adopters every step of the way.
Connecting dogs with forever families
From our Yorkshire base, we support adopters throughout England, Scotland, and Wales. Our thorough rehoming and support process ensures that you, your family, and your new companion feel confident, comfortable, and prepared for a lifetime of companionship.
"Adopting through Yorkshire Retired Greyhounds was effortless. Their knowledge and love for these wonderful dogs ensured we found our perfect, gentle family companion."
